Ann Rosandich is a professional oboe and English horn performer, teacher, and reedmaker with over 45 years experience. She was appointed solo English horn/assistant principal oboe of the New Mexico Symphony at age 19. Additionally, she is a former member of the Albuquerque Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra of Indian Hill (Vista Philharmonic).
Ann made oboe reeds professionally for a leading American reedmaking company. She holds a BM and MM from Boston University.
She bases her book on her extensive experience as a teacher and performer. Her primary influences include John Mack, Laurence Thorstenberg, Ronald Roseman, Bert Lucarelli, Stuart Dunkel, Eric Barr, Stevens Hewitt, Ralph Gomberg.

Ann has performed with Alea III, Emmanuel Music, Boston Classical Orchestra, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, New Hampshire Symphony, Monadnock Music Festival, Manchester Chamber Players, and on WGBH-FM Radio, Morning Pro Musica, Off the Record. She has made guest chamber music appearances with Boston Symphony members on the Boston University Faculty Series including flutist Fenwick Smith, saxophonist Kenneth Radnofsky, David Leisner (guitar), and harpsichordist Mark Kroll.
Ann is the author, illustrator, and designer of the critically acclaimed books on oboe reedmaking, The Illustrated Encyclopedia Of Oboe Reedmaking: A Guide To The American School Of Oboe Reedmaking, Volumes 1 and 2. She published the Unified Index to Volumes 1 and 2 in 2026.
